Professor Susan Hampshaw Appointed Associate Dean of the NIHR Academy

MIHERC congratulates Professor Susan Hampshaw on her appointment as Associate Dean of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Academy. This prestigious leadership role recognises her outstanding contribution to research capacity building, knowledge mobilisation, and public health research.

Professor Hampshaw, an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Sheffield and Director of the NIHR Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Doncaster, has played a significant role in strengthening research capability within local government and supporting evidence-informed decision-making.

As Associate Dean, Professor Hampshaw will contribute to the strategic development of the NIHR Academy’s research training and career development programmes, helping to support the next generation of health and care researchers.
